"What do we gain through taking so many pictures and writing so many books? How crucial is the sharing of information to our society?"

Before we had books and the ability to take photos or create art so easily, humans shared information through stories. Storytellers would go around and recite poems that would be exciting, fun, and full of information. Now, we don't have to share information that way.
I think we get satisfaction through passing on information. When I create something, I'm pleased with myself. With books and photos, we can get an understanding of what happened before us. We may not be able to predict the future with accuracy, but we can sure figure out our past with some clarity. Could you imagine not knowing about what happened before us? How did our technology came to be? Wouldn't it be so confusing if we had no clue how we got to where we are today? It would seem like a waste if we didn't know about all the hard work the people before us put in. Pictures and books enrich our lives. No matter what one might say, it is always quite pleasing
