"Are individual people important if the world is determined and nobody makes uncaused decisions?"
If the world is determined and no one made uncaused decisions, I believe that individual people would still be important. Even if our actions are are caused, they still are caused by the things around of us. There is a chain of causes and effects, and everyone alive is a part of it and that's something that's impossible to avoid. Even the most minor things can affect the world on a much larger scale, given time.
There is also the factor of emotions. The existence of one can greatly affect the existence of another. People love celebrities and musicians, and many people have claimed that they saved their life. Even if they were determined to do such, it doesn't change the fact that that they did and how the people "saved" feel about it. The "feeling" of feeling matters a lot. If determinism is right, it doesn't change the fact that we feel like we have the ability to choose. It feels like we have emotions, and that is enough. If we give it importance, then they have importance to us, whether they have importance to the universe or not.
